With another long day of work under her belt, Ripleigh Baker needed caffeine and a lot of it. She may have been the girl with the boring job where she had to sit behind a desk and be on the computer all day long, wearing a pencil skirt and a blouse, but that didn't mean that that was what Ripleigh preferred. In fact, Ripleigh preferred being in a pair of jeans, a cute shirt, and a pair of flats. So, after she had gotten off of work, the female went home, showered, then put on real clothes, got into her car, and went to Starbucks. More often than not, the people that worked at Starbucks would have her drink already prepared for her, because she came in the same time every day. Although, on the weekends, they had her ready to go also, considering that was her first stop of the morning.
Once the young woman had made it to Starbucks, she pulled her laptop out of the back seat of her car, grabbed her purse out of the passenger seat, and got out of the car. Closing the door behind her, Ripleigh pressed the lock button on her key chain and heard her car beep twice. Walking into the establishment, the female went straight for the counter, sort of bypassing everyone that was in line already, opened her purse, and grabbed money to cover her order. "Thanks," she spoke, taking a sip of the cool beverage.
Walking away from the line, Ripleigh went to go find herself a seat amongst the already slightly crowded seating area. Finally finding herself a seat that she could do some work before going home to relax, the dark-haired femme placed her computer on the tabletop and lifted the lid and turned it on. Once she was all settled into her little spot, Ripleigh got to work. When she had finished her drink, she stood up to get in line to get a second one. If she was going to get the promotion at work that she so desperately wanted to get, she was going to really have to work for it. This only meant that she was going to have to pull a few extra hours overtime at home in order to keep herself ahead of the game.
As she stood in line, Ripleigh kept an eye on her computer and her table, just making sure that no one was going to take either away from her. And when it was finally her turn, Ripleigh ordered a white hot chocolate with whipped cream and caramel drizzle with coconut shavings on top. She was told that it would be a few minutes, so the female went back to her table and waited for her order to be called out.

Caffeine was something Logan lived on. It was the blood that ran through his veins. It was the only source of energy he had. His pills made him tired and helped him sleep and caffeine helped do everything else. Being a manager to a band was a job that resulted in long hours logged in front of a computer screen and lots of emails and talks on the phone. And considering the band he managed was full of late teenaged girls and a tall man-child, he had his work cut out for him. Logan took daily trips to the local Starbucks cafe. His orders normally consisted of a something sweet in a venti size. He didn't have a usual since it changed every other day. He was a huge fan of coffee so anything worked for him.
Clad in jeans and a flannel shirt with the sleeves rolled up, Logan entered the crowded Starbucks shop. He was dressed down which was unusual for him. Logan was normally always wearing something that resembled business attire and he was never casual except for around the house. But since he had just awoken from a busy night and decided he needed coffee now, it made sense for him to be casual. The line to the counter was forming with every passing minute and it irked Logan. He needed his coffee now and he needed to get his work finished today. He approached the counter when the line finally shortened and ordered his drink: a venti white hot chocolate with whipped cream and caramel drizzle with coconut shavings on top. He paid for his drink and walked over to an empty table. He opened his laptop and went through his unread emails. Most were just reminders from the studio about Romantic Him and The Mars' new album scheduling. He typed up a quick reply and began drafting an email to the band.
Only a few sentences were typed out before Logan heard the name of his drink being called out by the barista. Logan left his laptop unattended and walked the few steps over to the counter and reached for his beverage. outfit.

Once Ripleigh had heard her order get called out, the female stood up from her table and made her way to the counter. There was a male that she disregarded that walked up to the counter with her, but she had just assumed that he was about to get into the line that was now growing bigger with each second that ticked past. As soon as she had made it to the counter, Ripleigh reached for the red cup that had been placed down onto the grey marble counter. As her hand was about to touch the cup, it touched something else instead. Instead of touching the red cup with whipped cream overflowing on it's top, the female's hand touched that of another person. Looking up in shock, Ripleigh's eyes made their way to the holder of the hand she had just touched. The face that she was now looking into was that of the male that she had walked past only seconds prior to this unscheduled meeting of two strangers.
Withdrawing her hand slowly as she looked mesmerizingly into the eyes of the male standing before her, Ripleigh's mind went completely blank. Not knowing what to do in the least bit, she opened her mouth to speak, but nothing came out. She was at an utter loss of words as she looked at the most handsome male that her eyes had ever laid on. If there had been any real sparks that had been created at that very moment, every single body in the establishment would have seen them. Ripleigh wasn't sure how to react to the male's touch, but she did know that if love at first sight had existed, then it existed in that very moment. Normally, the female had no time for dating or even going out with friends, so her social life was nonexistent. She had a feeling, though, that that was all about to change. Hoping that the male had felt the same connection that she had felt, Ripleigh opened her mouth to speak again. This time, she was lucky enough to manage to get something out.
Still looking into the male's eyes, she spoke softly as her cheeks reddened slightly. "I'm sorry," she began. "I"m not used to anyone ordering the same drink as me. You take this one and I'll wait for the next one," she said, her voice a little shaky still. "I have a ton of work to finish, so I don't mind waiting around."

There was quiet murmuring among the customers inside the small cafe. There were teenage girls taking out their iPhones to take pictures, annoyed hipsters listening to music ironically, and normal people just trying to get a cup of coffee. There was the sound of keyboards clicking as people faked worked or actually did something. There was idle chit-chat among the coffee drinkers and the workers were barking commands as they tried to quickly prep the drinks. Logan could never understand how people working at Starbucks did it. How did they handle having dozen of orders at a time and knowing the difference between them all. Logan never had a part-time job and he felt pity for those that did. Dealing with people sucked, especially if you were making them a product. People nowadays were so picky and such assholes that any mistake resulted in being screamed at and them demanding something for free. It was all so ridiculous. Again, he felt pity for them.
Another customer, a girl, stood up at the same time as Logan did when the drink name was called, but he thought nothing of it. Maybe she was ordering something else or already finished her drink. He shrugged it off as nothing important and reached for the drink. Instead of grabbing the cup, he felt another hand. A sudden jolt went thought him and he lashed away, looking at the hand he touched. It belonged to the girl he had seen walking this way. She was being generous and allowed Logan this cup while she would wait for the next one. "Oh, no, no. I couldn't allow that. Besides, you were here before me. You take this one and I'll wait," he insisted. Logan picked up the cup and handed it to her. He wanted to feel her touch again. It was like something he had never felt before. He wasn't sure if it was just a shock. But if it was, wouldn't he have felt it when he touched something else? This wasn't just static, it was something more than that. Logan cleared his throat and looked toward the barista, wondering when his drink would arrive. He was never really good at small talk. outfit.

Looking to the male to try and figure out if she should actually take the drink or if she should be polite and just leave it on the counter and allow him to take it, Ripleigh breathed a little choppy. She was still trying to catch her breath when meeting the male took it away from her and she didn't know how to proceed with him yet still. Finally deciding that she should take up the male's offer and take the beverage, Ripleigh reached for the red cup in the male's hand. She had to admit, she was glad that he hadn't simply put it back onto the counter for her to pick up; him holding said red cup actually gave her a chance to accidentally brush her hand against his own again and see what all was going to happen, if anything were to. When Ripleigh's hand made it to the cup, she grabbed it, her hand slightly touching the male's for a second time. As if it was happening for the first time, Ripleigh felt nothing but a fierce rush of electric flow through her body that she knew was only all in her head. There was no real electric current running through her veins, but she knew that this feeling happened when two people were sort of destined to be together, or at least to have met each other.
Picking up the cup and bringing it to her lips, the female took a small sip knowing it was too hot to do much more than that. Once the warm liquid touched her tongue, she slowly pulled the cup away from her lips and looked to the male with an adorable smile. "You really missed out. This is truly heaven in a cup," she said, trying her best not to use a flirty tone, but failing miserably. Ripleigh didn't normally flirt with a male that she had just met, but something about this male made her unable to control her flirty tendencies. "Thank you for letting me take this one though. It was really sweet of you," the female spoke softly, attaching a sweet smile to her glance.
With her drink in her hand, Ripleigh turned and headed towards her table and sat down and continued to do the obnoxious work that she had left to do.

Logan watched the girl in front of him with an intense glare. He intrigued her in a way no other woman had ever done before. It was as if this entire meeting was the work of fate. He felt a connection to this girl. A connection he has never felt before. She had some charm to her that made him breathless. Logan didn't normally feel this way about anyone before. It was just a foreign feeling to him. He didn't know what to feel, say, or think. What was he supposed to do? Was this electric feeling even mutual?
Logan watched her lift the cup to her lips, trying so hard not to stare at those wonderful pink lips of hers. He smiled to himself when he saw her adorable smile. "Heaven in a cup?" He repeated. "Well, then I'm glad that you have it instead." Did that come off a bit too strong? Logan was never really a good flirt. He was slightly awkward around women, even at his current age. He had always been kind of awkward. But then again, he was always a loner in his own way. He preferred work over play and never interacted with people unless he needed too. Maybe that was why his past loves always slipped through the cracks of her hands. But not this girl. Whether she be a friend or girlfriend, he would not let her slip away. "No problem," Logan choked out. He watched her walk back to her seat. He looked at the counter to see the barista placing his drink down. Before the barista could even say the name, he grabbed the drink and walked back to his seat.
Logan collected his belongings and walked over to the table. "Hey, I never got to introduce myself. My name is Logan. Do you mind if I sit with you?" It was time to bust out the flirting chops - if he had any. outfit.

After the pair had established that Ripleigh would be taking the cup of hot chocolate, they parted ways, going back to their designated tables. Though, Ripleigh had to admit that as soon as she had sat down in her chair and began doing her work, she used her peripheral to keep her eye on the male. When her hand had taken the cup from his own, it had been electrifying. What the female hadn't been expecting was when she took her eyes off of him, he managed to surprise her as he stood in front of her and spoke.
As soon as the male had started speaking, Ripleigh just stared into his eyes, memorized. Slowly bringing her hand to her laptop, Ripleigh closed it carefully, her eyes not breaking their gaze. Unfortunately, the girl had been so mesmerized by the male and her hand bumped her drink. Of course, as luck would have it, Ripleigh's hot chocolate went all over her lap and drenched her clothes.
Fantastic. She had met the man of her dreams and was now about to scare him away with being a stupid klutz. Jumping out of her chair quickly, Ripleigh's first reaction was to grab for her laptop to make sure that it wasn't going to be damaged with the amount of work that she had accomplished that day and the few days prior. With her laptop in her arms, Ripleigh looked to the male with blushing cheeks. "You're welcome to sit if you'd like, but I have to go home and change," she spoke. "I can't believe how much of a klutz I can be sometimes," she spoke. Not sure of how to go about this second interaction, the girl knew that she had to grab life by the balls and just go for it. "I'm Ripleigh, by the way. I know we just met and all, but um, I have to go home and change. I'm not an ax murderer and I can promise you that I won't want to eat you for dinner, but if you'd like to we can sit on my living room couch and talk instead," she offered, wondering what his response was going to be.
