Colby had been there to fix everything. He always had been and continued to be.
He fixed her fears when Marley had been fired. Well they told her she was let go because they were unable to tend to her frequent time off. They told her that she was a good employee and that she should be welcome back if this band business didn't pan out. Marley almost in a state of shock had returned to her apartment and called Colby.
She told him what had happened and came to a realization on the phone that if she did not hold down a job, she could never afford an apartment. Colby stepped in, as he always did and so graciously and generously offered his home to her. Marley refused and refused and refused but she was no match for the stubbornness of her boyfriend. Finally she caved.
Over the next week she slowly began packing away things from her apartment into worn cardboard boxes that were stacked high by the front door. Colby came over the day of moving and helped her pack the rest since she was going to be unable to do it all by herself. Not to mention the independent part of her was making her procrastinate so that hopefully she would get a windfall and be able to stay. But the independent become the dependent every once in a while. So with the boxes packed in her borrowed tour van she moved them across town to Colby's expensive apartment.
At first it felt like just another sleepover but soon the novelty wore off. She was thrilled to be with Colby, and excited that whenever she missed him she only had to walk down the hallway. But she couldn't help feeling like a mooch. So she promised herself she would be courteous while in his home. She would clean, and let him do things first, like shower, if she could afford the time to wait. It was going to be good, it wasn't going to be as difficult as she worried it might be. After all she definitely did love Colby.
The hours turned late and the pair climbed into bed; Marley hiding her laptop by her side of her bed. When she believed Colby was asleep she pulled out headphones from the nightstand by the bedside table and plugged them into her laptop which she used for the next two hours. Blonde hair pulled up in an awkward messy bun, white tank top and underwear sitting cross legged on the bed. She looked for easy things to do for valentines day for men. Checking periodically over her shoulder that Colby wasn't peeking at her screen.
Marley woke up the next morning a little groggy. She didn't remember exactly when she had fallen asleep but she did know it was cold in Colby's apartment. She wiggled herself out of bed and hopped across the room to the door, grabbing Colby's shirt that he had taken off at some point and wearing it for warmth. She wandered his apartment for some time, looking for something to do before Colby woke up. Breakfast! Marley searched feverishly through his cabinets for something to make. It was then that she remembered that she had packed a box of pancake mix from when she moved out. Marley searched quietly through the boxes, found the object in question, checked the date and raced to the kitchen to make them.
Marley made the mix and shimmied around the kitchen grabbing items of things that she needed for cooking, humming to herself. She placed some butter in the frying pan before adding the beige liquid. While her pancakes were far from circles they were still edible non the less. She arranged them carefully on plates with a heaping stack on Colby's plate and a much more modest amount on hers. A bowl of berries placed between them and a bottle of Syrup that she had found in the back of the fridge. So she sat and waited, trying to decide if she wanted to wake him up or not.
ooc: slowly and surely lost muse.

Not being the kind of guy that would let his girlfriend suffer, Colby steeping in with a helping hand almost immediately after Marley lost her job. The pair packed up Marley's apartment and moved her into his. Things seemed to be going well, but Colby knew this was only because Marley still hadn't ever experienced a bad day with him. And waking up that morning, Colby knew that it was going to be a very long day. This would be the first time that Marley would experience his tourette's at it's worst. Afraid for his girlfriend to experience this with him, Colby reluctantly got out of bed. Walking into the attached bathroom, the male walked up to the sink and reached for his toothbrush. Failing to grab it six times, Colby was on his way to just giving up. Eventually, the male was able to grab the toothbrush and even managed to put toothpaste on it.
Taking a total of fifteen minutes to brush his teeth, Colby knew he was going to be in for a very frustrating day. Walking through the bedroom, Colby went to the closet and grabbed a tee shirt for himself, since it seemed as if Marley had taken the one he had worn to bed, but took off in the middle of the night, because he had gotten too warm. Dropping at least six shirts on the floor, because of his violent tics, Colby gave up and walked out of the room shirtless instead. Making his way down the hallway, the male could smell the vivid scents of breakfast straying from the kitchen.
Entering the kitchen, Colby smiled at Marley and wanted to do nothing but hug and kiss her a good morning, but he figured that would take another half an hour. "G-g-g-g-g-good m-m-mo-morn-morn-morning," the male finally managed. Colby wondered how long it would be before Marley realized that today was one of those bad days that he had often told her that he had had, but that she never got to witness until now. It was days like today that Colby reluctantly accepted help from those whom had offered it. "It smells g-g-g-g-g-good," he stuttered. Seeing a full plate in front of an empty seat, Colby figured that that was the plate that Marley had so kindly made up for him. Walking over to the chair, Colby went to pull it out, but his wrist had other thoughts. Once his hand connected with the cool metal of the chair, his wrist ticked nearly a half a dozen times, sending the chair crashing to the floor with a loud bang. This was only the start of his day and Colby already knew what was to come of it. Stomach tics. The most painful tics that he had ever experienced.
Reaching down to pick up the chair when his wrist released it's tension, Colby quickly bent down and grabbed a hold of it. The male put it up on it's feet and pulled it out just as he felt another set of tics coming on. As he took a quick step back from the table and felt his neck lurch forward and to the right several times in a row, his mouth spitting swear words that he would apologize for when he was finished. It took almost a full minutes for Colby to gain momentary control over his body and once he did, he looked to his girlfriend. "Welcome to your first bad day," he said quickly. "I'm sorry about swear-swear-swear-swearing," he spoke. "I still don't have control over that one yet," he admitted.
Taking a step closer to the chair, the male managed to sit down and sat there for a moment, almost afraid to grab his fork. Finally gaining the courage to, Colby reached for his fork slowly. With the utensil finally in his hand, the male went to cut a portion with it, so that he would be able to get something into his stomach before his tics got progressively worse. Marley may not have thought that this was bad at all, but Colby knew that by mid-afternoon, she'd see that everything he had been telling her about would be right in front of her. And honestly, if she had wanted to leave the apartment to be away from the sight, Colby would have understood. He, himself, wasn't so sure if he'd have been able to stomach watching someone get as bad as he did.
