Sitting on the couch in her apartment, Oakleigh Thomas was pacing in her mind. She hadn't a clue as to how she was going to tell her brother the major news that she absolutely had to tell him. Maybe she would let him rant about the new girl that he seemed to like a lot or maybe she should get right to the point? Leigh had no clue what she was going to do and trying to plan it out was nearing impossible. She should have known that she was just going to have to wing it and wait for the right moment and somehow ease what she had to tell him into the conversation as best as she could. Although, the news that she did have to tell him wasn't exactly small, so she knew that there was no subtle way to break it to Finn. Thankfully, the pair were closer than most siblings, so she knew that she'd be able to tell him; it was just nerve wracking trying to figure out how he was going to react to it all. Oakleigh knew that if he was to tell her what she was going to tell him, she'd have done nothing but break down and cry for hours, if not days. Finn was her baby brother and she'd give her life for him without even a second thought, but the decisions that she was now forced to make were much harder.

Not being able to just sit there anymore, Oakleigh stood up and walked into the kitchen and went straight for the fridge. Leaning down a little as she opened the door, the dark haired beauty looked inside and tried to decide on a snack for herself. Finally finding a few chunks of watermelon to munch on, Leigh pulled the bowl of fruit off the shelf and shut the door to the fridge. Grabbing a fork out of the utensil drawer, Oakleigh poked it into a light pink square and brought it to her mouth to taste.

Finn kissed his new girl, Mikah, goodbye before descending down the stairs and down the street. His older sister, Oakleigh, had texted him to meet up with her for she had something urgent to tell him. Finn and Oakleigh were really close for siblings that shared the same age gap as they did. He loved his sister dearly and would sacrifice a limb for her if he needed to. Any urgent news she had was probably really important so he left his date with Mikah a bit earlier than he intended, but she didn't mind. Things were going well with her and it was one of the best relationships Finn has ever been in. It may have been too early to say anything but Finn was really happy with Mikah and so content with his life right now.

Finn sent a quick text to his sister confirming that he was on his way over and almost there. He was extremely curious as to what big news his sister had. The two siblings never kept any secrets from each other. Oakleigh was the first person Finn would tell anything to like him joining Prom Night Mishaps or his crush on Mikah. She was the person who even got him interested in music.

Oakleigh's apartment was in view so Finn quickened his pace. Finn skipped up the steps two at a time and knocked on his sister's door. "Leigh-Leigh, I'm here!" He called out and jiggled the doorknob. He was anxious to see his sister and hear her news.

As she nibbled on the light pink fruit, Oakleigh heard her brother at the door. Putting the fork in the bowl, then putting the bowl on the counter, Oakleigh walked out of the kitchen, through the living room, and to her front door. Opening it up, she grinned. Finn was a musician just like her, so their choice of clothing was often very similar. Granted, today she had opted to be more comfortable and lay around in lazy around the house clothes, but had she gotten dressed that morning, she'd have probably worn something similar to her baby brother.

When she had opened the door and seen Finn standing there, she reached out to his head with her right hand and pulled him gently towards her and kissed the side of his head softly, ruffling his hair a little bit in the process. "I hope the girlfriend isn't mad at me for breaking up the date between you two, but honestly Finn, this can't wait," she spoke, motioning towards the couch for the pair of them to sit down.

Still trying to figure out how she was going to tell him about what was going on in her life, Oakleigh had decided that she would keep the subject on her baby brother and his new girlfriend. When the pair sat down, Oakleigh decided that she would question him before he could ask her about why she had beckoned him to her apartment. "How are you two doing anyway? And when do I get to put my big sister seal of approval on her?" she questioned.

His older sister appeared at the door decked out in sweats with the sweet aroma of watermelon attacked to her. Being the teasing sister she was, Oakleigh ruffled his hair as a form of greeting whilst kissing the side of his face. "Leigh-Leigh, stop that. I'm not 5, god you're embarrassing," Finn said in a playful, whiny tone. He tried to escape her hand while attempting to protect his hair. "Don't touch it, you'll ruin my swag." Regardless of his sisters teasing, Finn opted to hug his big sister tightly.

"Oh, she doesn't mind. I told her that you needed to see me and that it was really important and urgent. Besides, I'll make it up to her another time," Finn answered. He allowed himself in and followed Oakleigh into the living room. He plopped himself down on the other side of the couch, snatching a piece of watermelon on his way. Before Finn could ask why he was even here, Oakleigh bombarded him with questions about Mikah. "We're doing really good. Things are going well. Despite it being early in the relationship, I really like her. Like, a lot. She's so great," Finn blurted out while grinning shyly. "You'll be able to meet her soon, don't worry. I want her comfortable in the relationship first. I don't wanna bring family in too soon," he added.
