Jesse had been planning this night for the past few months. He and his new girlfriend had been working so much on their own separate music that it was nice to have finally had a night off together. Granted, calling Bayleigh his girlfriend was still foreign to him, loving spending time with her certainly wasn't. He had planned a nice dinner for the two of them at one of the more expensive restaurants in New York City. Instead of picking her up himself, he had ordered a limo to pick her up and bring to the restaurant where he would be waiting. When he texted her about the date night all he told her was to be ready by six in the evening, to wear beautiful clothing, and to not get into her car. He wanted this night to be perfect because it was honestly the first real date they had had since they officially claimed that they loved each other. Jesse had gotten himself dressed and ready to go by five thirty. He got the restaurant, confirmed their reservation that he had made the previous day and was shown to the back room of the restaurant where there was a pre-set table with candles and rose petals everywhere. Jesse smiled as he thanked the hostess and sat down at the table awaiting Bayleigh's arrival. He took out his phone and used the dark screen as a mirror to fix his hair. Instead of having it his usual messy he actually pushed it down to one side and gelled it.

After being told how to dress and what not to do by her boyfriend, Bayleigh Moore couldn't help but take the day off from the studio and stay at home all day long and fuss through her closet for the perfect outfit to wear. It took almost six hours of picking things up, putting it in front of her and looking into the mirror, then actually trying it on, before Bayleigh was actually able to find the perfect outfit. It took another four hours for her to accessorize properly, then shower, do her make-up, and perfect her hair. As soon as she was ready, there was a knock on her door and Bayleigh immediately jumped for joy, expecting it to be Jesse himself. Although, as soon as she opened the door, she realized that it wasn't Jesse. Slightly let down, Bayleigh grabbed for her purse and followed the driver to the car. When they arrived, Bayleigh was surprised that it was a limousine that was waiting for her arrival. Getting into the back seat, Bayleigh waited for the automobile to eventually arrive at it's destination. As soon as it had, the door has been opened for her and she stepped out. No sooner had she stepped out of the vehicle did the tall blonde have cameras flashing in her direction. She had been used to it, but tonight, Bayleigh didn't want anything getting in the way of a good time for her date night with Jesse.
Walking into the restaurant, Bayleigh went up to the hostess and introduced herself and the party that she was looking for. It wasn't long before she was told exactly where to go. As the female walked through the restaurant, Bayleigh heard her name spoken and saw a bunch of finger point in her direction. She knew that it was all for good reasons, but that didn't make the female feel any less self conscious. As soon as Bayleigh had seen Jesse's face, she grinned with such excitement. "Hey gorgeous," she said, walking closer to the table.

Sitting at the table, Jesse could feel his hands getting antsy. Almost immediately after checking his phone multiple times, Jesse stood up to fix his suit a bit. He straightened his tie and flattened out his pants. It wasn't often that Jesse would wear this many clothes but for Bayleigh, he wanted to look good. After sitting back down, Jesse pulled out his phone again just as he heard footsteps coming his way. Fumbling with his phone, Jesse quickly put it away back into his pants pocket. When he looked up he saw Bayleigh. He knew she was gorgeous but what she was wearing just looked so amazing on her that he was speechless. His eyes scanned her as she walked into the back room and the hostess closed the door behind her. They were now alone, away from cameras. Standing up, Jesse walked over to her as she said hello to him, calling him gorgeous. He just smiled at her and took her hand and lifted it to his mouth so that he could kiss it gently. "Hello my beauty," he said in return as he took her hand and pulled her towards him so that he could put her arm through his as he walked her to the table. He let go of her only to pull her chair out for her. As soon as she was seated, he pushed her chair in a bit and sat himself across from her. He placed his hands on the table and just looked across at her. "I love you Bayleigh," were the only words that left his mouth as he soaked in her beauty.

Turning slightly to watch as the hostess closed the door behind her, Bayleigh turned back to look at her boyfriend. As soon as they were alone, Jesse walked over to her and took her hand in his and brought it to his lips. They gently grazed his lips before he escorted her to the seat across from his own. Blushing as he called her his beauty, Bayleigh brought her free hand up to her right cheek and hid her face slightly. As soon as the pair had been seated, they looked across the table at each other, taking in the appearance of the other until it was Jesse that had broken the short silence. "I love you too, Jesse," the female said in response. "What's the occasion?" she questioned. "Why such a fancy meeting place for date night?" Bayleigh questioned. "Wait a minute. You're not...," the female started. "Jesse, please tell me that you're not trying to propose, because I'm sorry, but you know that I'm nowhere near ready for that. I love you, but I'm not ready to get married yet," Bayleigh sort of blurted out, worried that Jesse was moving too quickly with their relationship. The girl prayed that she was completely wrong, but she knew that she would have felt super awful if that was exactly what Jesse was trying to do. Trying to change the subject, just in case Jesse was planning on proposing, Bayleigh looked across the table at him. "Do we have a thought out meal or do I get to pick between chicken and fish?" the newly brunette questioned.

As the pair sat across from each other, Jesse just soaked in how perfect the night was going. Exactly as he had planned and better because Bayleigh was actually right there seated across from him and she was even more beautiful that he had imagined her in his head to be. He smiled warmly at her as she said that she loved him back. Then her next spew of words allowed the smile to slowly fade. She was asking if the fancy night was for him to purpose to her and that it was moving too quickly. Jesse quickly took her hands and held them on the table in his and shook his head rapidly and assuredly. "No no no," he said, looking into her eyes. "I do love you and I do want to marry you someday, but someday is not today. I just wanted tonight to be special because it has been so long since we've seen each other and I wanted our first real date to be perfect. Like you," he said while adding a mischievous grin to his face, knowing that complimenting her would make her blush more. Once her nervousness faded, she asked if the meal was planned out or if she could pick the food. "It's planned out, but believe me, you'll like it a lot," he said just as the waiter came around with two glasses and a bottle of red wine. The waiter kindly explained the wine as he poured each Jesse and Bayleigh a glass full.

As Bayleigh sat across the table from Jesse, she watched as he grabbed for her hands and assured her that he, in fact, was not proposing to her. Although, as soon as he mentioned that he did, one day, want to marry her, Bayleigh began to get nervous again. It wasn't that she didn't want to get married, especially to Jesse of all people, but she had been through so much in her life, that she just wanted to keep things simple. And for Bayleigh, if that meant hat she and Jesse simply dated for awhile, with no plans of being married, the female was content.
Perfect. It was a simple word, more specifically an adjective, but it's meaning was so powerful. That was why when Jesse used it to describe her, the brunette female winced slightly. Unable to take the compliment, Bayleigh shook her head slightly and looked deep into Jesse's eyes from her chair across the table from him. "Oh, Jesse," she began. "I'm incredibly far from perfect. Picture perfect, maybe, since I may appear to be perfect on the surface. Deep down, you and I both know that I'm anything but perfect." Strengthening her grip on her boyfriend's hand for half of a second, Bayleigh soon continued on. "If anyone is perfect, Jesse, it's clearly you. You've waited patiently for me through my past. If you open up a dictionary, search for the word perfect, there's a huge picture of you plastered on the page," she voiced.
And when she asked about their meal, Jesse had clearly thought far enough ahead to have already picked out their entire menu for the evening. "If you say I will, then I believe you," she spoke, just as a waiter brought wine to their table and told of his knowledge of it.
