Seeing as how bands earn awards like having their albums go gold or platinum and whatnot, I figured that the bands here could do the same thing. You'll notice that in your profiles and mini-profiles, you'll see a new category labeled 'points'. You earn points by posting, which can be exchanged for album sales. When you earn enough points, exchange them to any album that your characters band or they themselves (if they're a solo artist of course) have released. Sales will be recorded in the US, UK, Japan, China, Australia, then everywhere else. On top of being able to help actual album sales, you can also do digital sales as well. You know, downloading it off of iTunes and whatnot.
What's the point of this all? I'm sure that you're curious. Well, record sales determines the artists future at the label. If sales start tanking and can't be turned around and picked back up, why would the label continue to promote said artist or band? They wouldn't. It's all about the money in this industry and even though Royal Flush is a very friendly environment, they're not going to want to keep an artist or band signed that isn't bringing in money.
Every 10 points will earn you one album sale or two digital downloads. [/center] [size=1][blockquote][blockquote]
