Piper smiled softly at her boyfriend as he said that he loved her. "I love you too Jam," she spoke, using his nickname. Jamie really had loved her for the longest time and their situation now and how mature he was being about it, really proved that to Piper. As the pair sat, Piper brought up that they could find out the gender of the baby.

In a way, Piper knew that it was a sensitive topic for Jamie. She was so sure that he didn't want them to have another baby girl and for their child to constantly be a reminder of what he had lost. While he replied, Piper listened. He asked a question of his own that made Piper actually think about it. She knew that if she went by herself to the doctor to find out that eventually she would slip and tell Jamie the gender.

After a moment, Piper spoke again. "We should wait until it's born. I like surprises," she said with a soft smile, hoping to warm up the situation a bit. As much as she wanted to be able to prepare for whatever gender they were having, she was going to happy with waiting to find out. She then leaned over and kissed Jamie's nose before kissing his lips lightly. She stood up and looked down at him. "Hungry?" she asked, knowing exactly what his answer was going to be. She giggled a bit then turned to walk away towards the kitchen.

As Piper smiled at him, Jamie was oddly enough, very soothed by the gesture. And when she replied to him that she loved him, Jamison Anderson couldn't have been any happier in that moment. He also knew in that very moment that they were truly meant to be together and that this was the way that his life was supposed to turn out. It hadn't been a complete curse that he had lost both Karissa and his daughter, but it had actually been both a curse and a blessing in disguise. Without the loss of his daughter, then Jamie wouldn't have lost Karissa, and then he wouldn't have had the opportunity to find himself and realize that he was madly in love with Piper.

Sighing quietly in relief, Jamie was thrilled when Piper told him that she wanted to wait to find out the sex of their child until she birthed it. Jamie wouldn't have even known where to begin with explaining why he didn't want to know about the gender of the baby; he then would have had to get into the fact that he wasn't willing to get attached to their baby until he was able to hold him or her in his arms. The truth was that Jamie still wasn't at his best, but he wasn't going to admit that to Piper just yet. He didn't want to worry her any more than she had already been, which he knew that she was based on the look on her face when she barely got out that she was pregnant.

"Of course, I'm hungry," the male spoke when his girlfriend stood up and went into the kitchen to find something to eat. "Surprise me," he spoke, getting off of his spot on the floor where he had been kneeling and sat on the couch.
